Description
GripGrout GP is a highly flowable cementitious based, high strength, non-shrink and non-metallic mix design for high performance grouting applications where ease of placement and suitability for use under high load and where vibration resistance is important.
Chemical Base:
• Specially selected cementitious blends
• Non-shrink additives
• Water reducing additives
• Graded siliceous aggregates
• And other chemical reagents which enhance the total performance of the grout
Characteristics/Advantages:
• Easy to use (just add clean water)
• Non-corrosive (will not attack reinforcement)
• Non-metallic
• Non-bleeding
• Excellent adhesion
• Excellent high early and initial strengths
• Very good flow characteristics
• Non-shrinking
• Adjustable consistency (controlled by the amount of water added)
Typical Uses:
• Grouting: anchor bolts & starter bars
• Bedding: machine bases, column base plates, crane rails
• Concrete Repairs: grouting cavities and voids in concrete
Surface Preparation:
Concrete Surface must be structurally sound, remove all loose concrete. Surfaces must be free of oil, greases, dust, rust, paint laitance and any other contaminants.
Priming/Structural Bonding:
No primer required
For structural bonds use GripEpoxy 107N – Wet to Dry Epoxy Adhesive (refer to TDS)
Mixing:
A mechanical mixer is recommended, but the conventional wheelbarrow and spade is also suitable.
Add ⅔ of the required water into the mixer then slowly add the GripGrout GP whilst mixing, then add the remainder of the water into the mixer until the desired onsistency is achieved and free from lumps.
Highly Flowable consistency add up to – 4.5lt water
Flowable consistency add up to – 4.0lt water
Plastic consistency add less than – 3.5lt water
Placing/Application:
Concrete surface must be saturated first with water (ensure there is no free-standing water)
Mixed GripGrout GP should be poured immediately after mixing into the cavity from one point to avoid entrapping air. The GripGrout GP should be applied within 10 minutes of mixing.
Application Properties:
• Minimum grout depth = 10mm
• Maximum grout depth = 150mm
• (Grouting greater than 150mm use GripGrout BG)
Curing:
Grout areas should be covered immediately after placement.
Alternatively apply GripCure Acrylic or GripCure Pliolite curing compounds.
